our principles
Our principles are based on what our groups feel stongly regarding charity and supporting the society.
Based on our previous experiances we have noticed that most of the non profit organizations have a lot of overhead and only a part of donations reach the needy. One of the most important principle in Sparsh is to have 0 overheads. That means $1 donated, and Sparsh will pass over 100 cents for causes. We plan to achive this with volunteers who work for Sparsh for free. Other overheads like website maintenace etc is taken care by management members directly from thier personal funds. 0 maintenance costs, 0 operating costs, 0 administrative costs, 0 fund raising costs. We have achived this over the past 3 years

We are not interested in building a huge organization with huge funds. We try to focus more on quality and not quantity. With limited members in the organization and minimal funds our volunteers are able to sustain the efforts working for free in their leisure time, and maintain the above 2 principles.
Funding and accounting is well organized and we make sure every dollor donated goes to the cause and is not wasted. We have 100% transparency in accounting. Anyone in organization can request to see all accounting including bank accounts. Accounting and tallying of amount is done at the rupee level, if you donate $1, we can show accounting for Rs 75 (or whatever the exchange)
